Project idea

Travel company reached out to ApexTech with a few goals, including designing and developing a new customer website and creating a system for automated verification of their clients’ COVID vaccine certificates. The need to get a vaccine passport before traveling across Europe and the USA this summer is closer to becoming a reality. So they decided to rebuild a site and introduce functionality that would deliver more value to their consumers.

What we did

Phase 1

Our goal was to make the website more visually appealing and easy to use to attract more travelers and increase bookings. Working with the client’s Content Management System (CMS) powered by Node.js, we rebuilt the website’s structure and design. Our team revamped the existing platform to streamline a visitor’s experience and increase overall customer engagement using Typescript and GraphQL.

Phase 2

Our team developed a system that helps to check the individual’s health passes and vaccine certificates. We used publicly available EU registers that keep records of vaccines given to people. This simple but effective feature enabled our client to make travelers aware of vaccine passports required to move safely within the European Union and abroad.

Phase 3

We integrated our custom verification system into the client’s site using APIs. This allowed us to provide a unified user experience and eliminate the need to go away from the website.
